It’s Deaf Awareness Week (3rd – 9th May 2021).

Did you know there are 11 million Deaf people in the UK? This equates to 1 in every 5 people having some sort of hearing loss.
It is known as an invisible disability and in children with a hearing loss it has a big impact on everyday access and learning language for their future after leaving school.
How can we help? 
Show good communications by;
- giving eye contact when talking
- using visual clues as aids
- writing things down such as new words
