Welcome to the Communication & Autism Team course ‘Understanding Behaviours that Challenge‘.
The course is aimed at teaching assistants, class teachers and SENCos. You may wish to use this short course as CPD for all members of staff or new staff in your school. The course will usually take 30 minutes to complete online.
During this course, you will learn about:
✔ what we mean by ‘challenging behaviour’;
✔ the function of behaviour;
✔ The Iceberg Model;
✔ some of the reasons for challenging behaviours;
✔ some practical ways to support.
